2025 Nove Colli – Road

The Nove Colli (9 climbs) , is the oldest and originator of the “Gran Fondo”. It was 20th May at 5 o’clock in the morning and there were just 17 riders that took on this great ride, it was at that historic moment the Nove Colli was born from Bar del Corso. In 1996 it was the first time an event was held with 10,000 riders and no electronic chip timing ! As 40 years passes the event limited the number of riders to 12,000. Then came the digital age which moved things on quickly all race numbers of the 46th edition were sold in just four minutes – that’s NUTS ! As the calendar enter 2010 the Nove Colli became 40 years old who would of thought of it 17 riders now 12,000 and 53 years old ! This epic event takes place in May and has two route options 200k (9 climbs) or 130km (4 climbs) , full details of the courses can be found below.

The Nove Colli is a bucket list ride for many riders so why not you ? . You will be one of 12,000 cyclists on closed roads climbing over either 9 climbs or 4 climbs both rides are amazing and in some of the most spectacular scenery you are ever likely to encounter in and around Cencenatico the home of Marco Pantani.
How long is the Nove Colli ?
The Nove Colli has two options, 200km or 130km both challenging, which maybe an understatement

Weekends Plan
Thursday – Arrive check-in , unpack, relax, build bikes (if not transported) , shower evening meal.
Friday – Local ride maybe circa 100km
Saturday – Relax time and sign on , visit expo , maybe very short
Sunday – Race day
Monday – Return home
How Much ?

Hotel
We will be staying at the 5 Star hotel Grand Hotel da Vinci in the heart of Cesenatico on the beach. We believe this is probably the BEST hotel we have used and we have stayed in some nice hotels.
Flight arrivals & departures
Outbound
Fly into Bologna Airport (BLQ) on Thursday
Ensure you are cleared through customs by 13:00 Thursday before the event
Coach departs at 13:30
Return
Coach departs from the hotel at 10:30 a.m.Monday after the event
It’a s circa 90 minute – 80km transfer, so book your return flight with this in mind
What we need from you
The organisers will email early next year with a link to download personal details which will include your medical certificate. So I suggest you have this document ready by 31/3 to be ready to download it to the organisers.
