Italy is synonymous with cycling. It’s an intrinsic part of Italian culture, so is good food and Prosecco!
We have put together a trip to include the best of what Italy has to offer; a cycle through the vine-clad, rolling hills of the Prosecco growing region of Northern Italy, a trip to a well known Vineyard – Villa Sandi and staying at the Conta Hotel in Pieve di Soligo.
The stunning scenery, quiet roads and villages create the perfect setting from which to experience cycling in Italy at its best. Dudley Samuels, the founder of European Cycle Events has family living in the region so his local knowledge will ensure that you will ride the routes that best suited what you want to do. There are so many great climbs, fasts descents and ‘bellavistas’ on many smooth roads surfaces. With coffee stops and eateries, it all adds up to make this such a special place to ride. Then to make your Prosecco immersion complete we have arranged a visit to the beautiful winery .
We are NOT riding a Gran Fondo, but we have the perfect opportunity to enjoy riding in Italy at its best, in a beautiful region at a smooth pace and optional trip to the Pinarello Shop which is just outside Treviso circa 50 mins from our hotel.
