The Top Dolomites event offers two distances , 117 km and 75 km, with start and finish in Pinzolo, ride one of one of the most beautiful and exciting events. This is a well kept secret in the Gran Fondo events in Italy, now in its 8th edition (2026) with a field of circa 1500.
Short
The short route is just 75 km, but don’t be fooled it has 1650 meters of altitude difference and starts and finishes in Pinzolo. With just 7km in your legs , you will take on one of the climbs used in the Giro d’Italia After , the Passo Daone. (1291m). Once you have tackled the pass you will head to Stenico, an historic town overlooking Ponte Arche and the beautiful Val Rendena, you now have a chance to catch your breath before you face a slight climb to the town of Fiavè. At this point you will have a decision to make short or long , by selecting the short you will immediately take on the Passo Durone, your last push of the day that will lead you to the arrival in Pinzolo (start/finish).
Long
The long route is 112 km with 2790 meters of altitude , circa 1100 more than the short route, and finishes in Pinzolo. As in the short route just 7 km you take on one of the climbs used in the Giro d’Italia , Passo Daone, you will then head to Stenico, a historic town overlooking Ponte Arche and the beautiful Val Rendena. This is time to catch your breath to face a slight climb to the town of Fiavè. At this point you shoudl select the long route in the road split and it will take you towards Lake Tenno and onto Riva del Garda. With two significant climbs to take on, Passo del Ballino and the Passo Durone, the last effort of the day that will lead us to the arrival in Pinzolo (start/finish).
