Well the true history of this race was devised by these two famous wine makers back in 1897.

The Gran Fondo starts and finishes in Siena with 30kms riding on the famous white gravel roads.
Our base is perfectly placed in the town centre, just 500 meters from the start line and central to explore bella Siena. This trip has something for everybody, both cyclist and non-cycling partners alike. A pro race, an Italian Gran Fondo, shopping and history, you really do have it all in Siena. The trip is on a bed and breakfast basis, as there are so many places to choose from to eat in the town of Sienna instead staying on the hotel.
We are offering two hotels in our packages one being a 3 star at £tbc – Early Bird or should you wish for that extra luxury then we have places at the ONLY 5-star hotel in Siena at £tbc – Early Bird – both prices based on 2 people sharing a room. Please note both hotels DO NOT include evening meal, as Siena has so many places to choose from to have an evening meal.
When is it?
Expected to be 1st March 2026 or the 8th March 2026 – TBC. So our trip would be either 27/2/2026 > 2/3/2026 or 6/7/2026 > 9/3/2026 – again TBC
Your Strade Bianche challenge is on Sunday 1st March or 8th March 2026 – TBC
Watch the pro race on Saturday and then you too will race on the white roads of Siena Tuscany, a truly magical way to start your season.
Special Deposit
We are offering a special £25.000 deposit per person to secure your place , once the event details have been released and we have published our details we will email you asking if you still wish to come , if you don’t think it’s for you , then no problem we will refund your £25.00 in full – no problem.
Weekends Plan ?
Friday – Arrival , unpack , walk down to the sign on, eat where you like in Siena
Saturday – Visit Expo , watch the Women’s Pro Race Start , the the Mens Pro race start. Time to grab a coffee and cake and watch the arrival of the Womens’s finish and Men Finish , eat where you like in Siena in the evening.
Sunday – Gran Fondo Start at 08:00 , evening meal get together at 19:30 at a local eatery or the Continental Hotel – TBC
Monday – leave 12:00 midday , meet outside the Albergo Chiusarelli Hotel (3 star hotel)

Flight arrivals & departures
Outbound
Fly into PISA airport (PSA)
Ensure you are cleared through customs by 14:30 on the Friday – tbc
Coach departs at 15:00 – tbc
Return
Coach departs from the hotel at 10:00 on the Monday – tbc
2 -hour (approx.) transfer, so book your return flight with this in mind.
